Tschierv
The highest village on the Ofenpass towards Zernez is called Tschierv, which is Romansh for deer. And for good reason – it’s a great place for spotting wildlife. The village is located right next to the Swiss National Park, at the end of the Minschuns downhill ski run and at the highest point of the cross-country skiing trail. In summer visitors head to the heated outdoor pool, playground, barbecue area and football ground. In winter, there is a natural ice skating rink, a sled run and a cross-country skiing trail. Tschierv is also home to the office of the Biosfera Val Müstair.
